Asthma Only Face To Face Review & Annual Asthma Only Telephone Review

What is it?

Asthma is a lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.

An asthma review is a yearly appointment with a nurse specialist or clinical pharmacist. It’s your chance to talk about your asthma and any ways you can manage your symptoms better – people with severe asthma and children may have one more often.

What to expect from your Annual Asthma Review.

During your review, you can talk about:

  • the symptoms you are experiencing, and whether they are affecting your daily activities or disrupting your sleep.
  • strategies to effectively manage your asthma in order to reduce the likelihood of an asthma attack.
  • your medications and inhalers, as well as the frequency with which you use them.
  • your inhaler technique and how to use a spacer if you use a metered dose inhaler (MDI).
  • lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, engaging in regular exercise, or maintaining a healthy weight, all of which can have a positive impact on your asthma.

Your review date should fall around your birthday month to make it easier to remember! A few weeks before your birthday, we will contact you by text, email, or post to arrange your appointment.
